DESCRIPTION: Antique long guns - H. Pieper of Belgium, double barrel shotgun, circa 1889, 12 gauge, steel trigger guard with double triggers, unembellished lock plates engraved "H. Pieper," plain tang, European walnut stock aftermarket recoil pad, 30 inch round Damascus barrels, barrel top is marked "Laminated Steel," brass bead front sight. A fabulous shotgun for the fellow who wants a spectacular hanger over the fireplace. Shotgun measures 47.5 inches in length and weighs approximately 8 pounds, includes soft gun sock.
CONDITION: Good action; excellent overall cosmetic condition, bore shows light oxidation, metal surfaces have aged to a pleasing dull gray, barrel in pleasing deep plum brown and with a fine Damascus pattern, small dings and fine scratches are scattered about walnut stock, checkered grip worn smooth; trigger guard shows little wear; replacement recoil butt pad from the early 20th century.
